G6 A platformer
For my sixth game I am choose to do a platformer. I just picked a random free asset pack and have spent all day on just the feel of the movement.
A and D for sideways movement
Space to jump
S to fall fast and to stop faster and slide down wall
Features of the movement:
- Friction on ground and air to not be instantly moved
- Jumping
- Double jumping
- Slightly less gravity while holding jump
- More gravity while holding
- Coyote time for jumping after having walked off ledge
- Hold on to walls
- Jump from walls
- Slide down walls
- Jump away from wall
- Jumping while just under ledge, jump up instead of away
- Jumping just before hitting the ground, you still jump again
