For my sixth game I am choose to do a platformer. I just picked a random free asset pack and have spent all day on just the feel of the movement.

A and D for sideways movement
Space to jump
S to fall fast and to stop faster and slide down wall

Features of the movement:

  1. Friction on ground and air to not be instantly moved
  2. Jumping
  3. Double jumping
  4. Slightly less gravity while holding jump
  5. More gravity while holding 
  6. Coyote time for jumping after having walked off ledge
  7. Hold on to walls
  8. Jump from walls
  9. Slide down walls
  10. Jump away from wall
  11. Jumping while just under ledge, jump up instead of away
  12. Jumping just before hitting the ground, you still jump again

A bit of stretch on the character and some jetpack particles when using the
